Give Away on the Teaching Heart Blog

Who wouldn't want to win a $25 ITunes card?  I have recently stolen borrowed my son's Ipod Nano.  I went through 2 cd players in my classroom this year.  So I'm hoping that the Nano works better.  He, of course, has graduated to an Ipod Touch.  How come the kids always get the better technology?


Anyways, the point of this blog is that the Teaching Heart blog is giving away a $25 ITunes card to bloggers who blog about the giveaway.  I would love an ITunes card to get some new songs for my classroom.

ICE CREAM PARTY!!! (and give away)

I think my favorite food in the summertime is ice cream.  Okay you caught me, my favorite food at anytime of year is ice cream.  (While I was pregnant with my son (who is now 18), there was an ice cream store that my husband and I drove by on our way home from work.  I had a craving for a chocolate ice cream cone on our way home almost every day.  So my husband (not wanting the wrath of a 7 month pregnant woman) would stop and get me a large one.  He swears it only took us 4 or 5 minutes to get home and I could have it eaten by then.  So you can see how much I LOVE ice cream.)


Okay so back to the Ice Cream Party.  I have been working for the past week on several center activities that have ice cream as their theme.  I finally have them uploaded to my TpT store.

Good Morning Everyone!


What an excellent way to begin my Sunday!  I have 50 followers.  Who would have thought that 50 people would be interested in what I have to say?  (I live with 2 teenagers who don't really listen to me unless they want something.  So needless to say this is helping to raise my self-confidence level.)

Oh my goodness!  I'm soooo close to having 50 followers.  I know that isn't many for some of the blogs, but I'm so excited.  I would love to have a giveaway.  So once I get one more follower, I promise to have a great giveaway.  (I think I hear a Target gift card calling my blog's name.)


Now a little off topic subject.  I wanted to share something else that happened this week.  There is a robin's nest in our front tree.  One visited our front window (and drove our cat crazy) this morning.  Unfortunately, that picture is on my phone and I'm not able to get it off of there and put it on my blog.  But I have another picture of one of the birds to share with you.

I'm hoping to use some of the pictures of the baby robins during Writer's Workshop with my kinders at the beginning of the year.

Freebies and Giveaway!!

I am also hosting a giveaway that goes along with one of my freebies.  One of my freebies is a stamping activity.  The students stamp the letters that are missing from the alphabet.  I made this activity to use with the small alphabet stamps I found at the Dollar Spot at Target.  So my giveaway is a set of 2 small alphabet stamps and 2 ink pads.  One lucky teacher will have a ready-made center for the beginning of the year.
